According to the site MarketShare, the Firefox web browser is more than maintaining market share.
The site reports the number two browser spent two consecutive weeks in October above the 20% share mark. It ended October at 19.97% of the browser market. New features in version 3 may be helping, the add-ons, and the new 3.1 features around the corner won’t hurt the Fox either. Included are expected to be a mode similar to Google’s Chromes incognito mode that leaves no trace of web visits or personal information.
MarketShare , a NetApplications company, says Chrome usage is falling after its initial announcement and represented 0.74% of web browser usage in October.
